Tiramisu Pound Cake. Well, what can I say about this cake! Many of you will know that it's a cake monster bit, more specifically a pound cake monster, and maybe you've tried one or two of our other pound cake recipes. Well ... you won't be disappointed when you make this. Especially if you have a weakness for Tiramisu too. So I decided to make Tiramisu Pound cakes.

INGREDIENTS
Cake ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup or 175 g, soften the butter
  • 3/4 cup or 175 ml milk
  • 1 cup or 200 g of ordinary sugar
  • 3 eggs (lightly whipped)
  • 4 teaspoons of coffee granules dissolved in hot water 2 tablespoons.
  • 1 3/4 cup or 225 g Plain / All purpose flour (filtered)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Cream cheese contents:

  • 8 ounces or 225 g cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup or 50 g of ordinary sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons of Marsala wine

Mascarpone frosting:

  • 8 ounces or 225 g of Mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup or 125 ml cold heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of Marsala wine (optional)
  • Cocoa powder for dust.


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 C, Gas 3, 300 F. Grease and the lead line of your cake. Look here for how to line.
  2. get all the ingredients ready, that is dissolve the coffee, sift the flour and add salt and baking powder to the flour etc.
  3. start by making cream cheese.
  4. Add all ingredients to the mixer and shake until the sugar has been dissolved and everything is fine and smooth.
  5. Place it in the fridge while you make a cake.
  6. MakeSlowly adds a beaten egg to the mixer, at a low speed setting, a little at a time. If the mixture starts to thick or split, add a spoonful of sieved flour, keep adding eggs, and a little flour if necessary until all the eggs are added.
  7. Add half the milk with half of the flour, keeping the mixer at a slow speed. Once combined, add a mixture of coffee, milk and flour.

  12. To make Mascarpone Frosting, beat all the ingredients in a large bowl just to gently peak.
