Style of Vegan Restaurant Chicken Parmesan

When my brother and I are children, we are super picky eaters. So much so that for a long time, every time our parents will take us out to eat, there are only two things we have ever ordered are chicken nuggets or pasta with butter sauce. We are kind of silly.



So, when I first wandered around the world with an unknown adult menu, it must come as no surprise I chose and fell in love with the classic chicken parm. Because this is the next logical step, huh? 😋

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 additional block of 16 oz the company knows
  • marinara sauce
  • vegan mozzarella, sliced

For Gravy:

  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of vegan broth powder

For breading:

  • 1/3 cup of bread flour (be sure to check ingredients, because they contain lots of milk)
  • 2 tablespoons of mixed butter cheap garlic
  • 1/2 cup of corn or tapioca flour

INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare you know: 

  1. Drain and press your tofu. Place it in an airtight container and freeze overnight. In the morning, take it out of the freezer and put it in the fridge to melt. When the tofu is thawed (about 8 hours), squeeze the soft tofu sink to expel excess liquid. It must be sturdy enough and pancake, but still handle carefully, so you don't break the tofu.
  2. Next, slice your tofu into the same 8 "cutlets" and mix all ingredients for your seasoning in a small bowl with a whisk. Pour the marinade over the sliced ​​tofu and cover. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  3. When you are ready to make slices, turn your oven to 350F and a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Time to make slices: come out two shallow bowls or Pai dishes. For one, add starch. For others, add crumb bread and mixed butter cheap garlic and mix with whisk. Dip each piece of tofu in starch, then return to the marinade, then mix breadcrumbs. Be sure to coat the pieces completely during each stage.
  5. Place your slices of parchment lined with baking pan and place in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes, flip each one carefully, and bake again 20 minutes. If you are cold sliced, stop here, let them cool, and freeze. If not, continue.
  6. Top each piece with a piece of vegan mozzarella. Activate your broiler and bake for about 5 minutes or until the mozzarella is all melty and beautiful.
  7. Serve on a mountain of pasta or long hoagie roll with marinara sauce and mixed butter cheap garlic!
