Slow Cooker Cheap Sauce Sauce #christmas #lunch

He made this slow COOKER chilli cheese sauce just for day-to-day game gatherings, and I have the fondest memories of all of our family friends who celebrate lamenting the week or Monday night, sticking to the arms of a sofa or a chip to win.

I remember our first Football Championship as an adult when our children were old enough to sit and entertain on our team. It was so fun - we made it magical with this slow COOKER chilli cheese sauce and liquid lava cake. Children still remember this night too (more for food from football) and ask for both items every year - even when our team doesn't make it for the championship. In fact, they have come to request this dip every weekend during the season.


  • 1 1/2 lbs. cooked hamburger
  • 1 can of dark red kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can be black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 large garlic diced
  • 10 ounces of frozen bag of corn
  • 1-4 ounces can be optional chopped green chiles
  • 2 - 10 ounces of canned diced roasted tomato fire
  • 1 - 8 ounces can be tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder
  • 16 ounces of Velveeta cut into cubes
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of optional cilantro chopped


  1. Cook the beef until it's completely cooked. If you want excess fat, tension or moisture in beef.
  2. The cooker is slow on high heat and add tomatoes and tomato sauce. Sprinkle with black beans, beans, green chili and corn.
  3. Next, add all the spices: cumin, chili powder and taco seasoning. Stir everything in the slow cooker until combined.
  4. Add beef (do not mix in), Velveeta and then milk. Cover the cooker slowly and cook at 2 hours high.
  5. Remove the lid and stir to combine. Add grated cheddar cheese and cilantro, stir to combine. Replace the lid again and cook for one hour.
  6. Remove the lid, stir to combine and serve. Keep the cooker slow on warm, while you serve.
  7. If it's sitting for too long, you need to add 1/4 cup of milk so it doesn't thicken too much.
  8. Great like swimming with chip tacos, tortillas, crackers or even making it as a topping for burrito or taco salad!
