Rasberry Hot Chocolate #CHRISTMAS #CHOCOLATE

Hot chocolate. This is almost a necessity in winter, right? Last year I made this peanut butter amazingly hot chocolate, because, you know, I love all things peanut butter.

But this year, I want to make hot chocolate with one of my favorite chocolate combos: raspberries and chocolate. You will remember me going and about how amazing this duo came back when I made this chocolate raspberry mousse.

And my love hasn't been performance since. So that's why this year's hot chocolate is getting a raspberry kick. Say hello to my Hot Chocolate Raspberry!

For raspberry puree:

  • 12 ounces of fresh Raspberry (two dry Pain)
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of water

For hot chocolate:

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/4 cup of chocolate powder
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar powder
  • 3/4 cup of raspberry puree (see the recipe above)
  • marshmallows for toppings

  1. First, make Pure. Add raspberries, sugar and water to the medium pan and heat until boiling. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes until the mixture is slightly thicker than water and the Raspberry is broken. Strain the mixture to remove all seeds.
  2. Rinse and clean the pan (or use a new pan) and add milk. Hot to medium until the milk steams, but does not boil. Add cocoa and sugar powder. Shake into milk. Add puree and shake until combined.
  3. Remove from heat and split into two mugs. Add marshmallows and serve immediately.
