Peppermint Additional Fudgy Skin Brownies #Christmas #fudgy

When it comes to cookies vs. brownie puzzles, I'm always partial to cookies. Maybe that is my favorite food in a circle-Do you see this place? - or my needs are never satisfied for on-the-go sweets. But whatever the reason may be, cookies always hold my heart. But somethings changed since I made these brownies. Because after baking them not once, not twice, but four times this holiday season, I have achieved a big realization.

With cookies there are tons of filtering, cutting and cold dough, then finally scooping them into shape. But with everyone's brownies disrupting the small steps that are removed. Instead you go straight from stirring right into the cake and then licking the bowl. This is a more efficient process, so instead of grilling another batch of cookies before Christmas, bake this!

  • 1/2 cup of flour, sifted
  • 1/2 ckr brown, sifted
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 9 tbsps salted butter, thawed
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 lb of peppermint skin, chopped & divided
  • 10 oz fudge sauce (buy jarred or use this recipe!)
  • Crisco to smear
  • parchment paper for layers

  1. 350F pre-heat oven. Lightweight 9 x 9 grease oyang baking pan with Crisco, then line with parchment paper.
  2. In medium-sized bowls combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt, stirring until combined. In another bowl, combine large butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla, stirring hard until smooth. Slowly add dry ingredients to the wet, stir until the mixture is formed. The dough will be thick, that's what you want.
  3. Spread about half the dough along the bottom of your greasy & lined pan, using a spatula to spread as evenly as possible. Sprinkle the chopped half of the peppermint skin on top, then cover with the rest of the dough - spreading this top layer can be annoying, but just do your best! During this time, you're good.
  4. Bake brownies on the center rack of the oven for 25-30 minutes until the toothpick comes from the middle of the clean. Cool for at least thirty minutes, then gently remove from the baking dish. Choking on brownies with warm fudge sauce - if using from a jar, microwave instructions will be on the label - then sprinkle with the remaining chopped peppermint skin. Slice and eat!
