Foil Cream Packages Of Salsa Verde Chicken, Rice And Vegetables

Cream the salsa verde chicken with rice and vegetables cooked at once in a foil package! There is no need to pre-cook rice or chicken. This dish takes no more than 10 minutes to assemble and is full of delicious Mexican flavors.



How crazy fun is eating tonight ?! Chicken, rice, vegetables are all done in one delicious foil package. BAM. Is dinner ready and you spend like a minute preparing it?

Majorly destroys the tin dinner today. And I hope you love them too because I already have two other tin dinners all ready to post! We may or may not have dinner tin for lunch and dinner every day this week and last. Although, in all honesty, not every meal has been served in foil ... I've been a little creative in re-interpreting the dishes into something else. Like making patches of this package to the taco. Talking about is so delicious and so easy. (More details on the one in the next part of the text).

material

  • 1 cup of instant white rice
  • 1 and 1/2 cup of water
  • 2 large without chicken breast skin (7 ounces in total)
  • 1/2 teaspoon: white cumin, garlic powder, salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon of paprika, optional
  • 1 ounce full of fat cream cheese
  • 6 tablespoons of salsa verde
  • 1/2 cup of roasted corn
  • black 1/2 cup of beans
  • 1/2 cup of pepperjack cheese
  • Optional: grilled green chili, lime, cilantro, sour cream, red peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Generous grease with cooking spray 2 large sheets of heavy duty tinfoil.
  3. Weigh your chicken to get 7-ounce pieces (2). Pounds or slices are 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Stir in instant rice and water and let stand for 5 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, stir all seasonings: white cumin, garlic powder, salt, pepper, chili powder and peppers. Dredge each chicken breast evenly on the spice (two sides).
  6. Divide the rice and water mixture evenly between 2 foil packages.
  7. Spiced chicken place above.
  8. Slice the cream cheese together 4 and place 2 pieces on each chicken breast.
  9. Pour 3 tablespoons of salsa Verde on each chicken breast.
  10. Place 1/4 cup of corn and 1/4 cup black beans on the chicken breast respectively. If desired add a few slices of thin red pepper slices to each package.
  11. The package seal allows for expansion and ensures it is 100% closed.
  12. Bake for 30-50 minutes ** or until the chicken is fully cooked (register 165 degrees F)
  13. Mix everything around in your foil bag and top each with pepperjack cheese.
  14. Add other optional toppings as desired.
  15. GRILL for: Heat the grill to medium-high fire and allow heat for 10-15 minutes. A fully sealed foil package is baked for 25-35 minutes (or until the chicken registers 165 degrees F) flips once between 10-15 minutes
