Easy Mete Chicken

U guys have to put this easy cashew chicken recipe on your menu this week! It's very easy and just full of flavor! When I say it's better than a pack, I mean a better way! And this recipe will take less time to make than ordering and taking a pack too!

My family loves Chinese food and I have found for years that making it at home is far better than food wrap. This simple Chinese cashew recipe will definitely be a hit with your family, like that with me.

Material

  • 3 tablespoons of hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic chili sauce
  • 3 tbsp chicken or water broth
  • 1 1/2 lb boneless without skin, chicken thighs, 1-inch cut pieces
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, cut 1-inch pieces
  • 4 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of Rice vinegar
  • 6 green onions, diced
  • 3/4 cup of unsalted roasted cashews
  • White rice

Instructions

  1. Beat with hoisin sauce, garlic sauce and chicken stock in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Transfer the chicken to a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Sprinkle cornstarch on the chicken and throw it to coat.
  4. In a large free stick pan, or pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Saute the chicken, stir often, until golden brown and cooked, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  5. Add the onion and cook for another 3 or 5 minutes, often stirring, until the onion is translucent and soft.
  6. Add garlic and cook for one minute or more.
  7. Add rice vinegar and stir. Cook for minutes.
  8. Reduce heat to medium-low and add a mixture of hoisin. Stir to combine and cook for a few minutes to warm through. Remove from heat.
  9. Stir in cashews and green onions. Season with salt and pepper if needed.
  10. Serve over white rice.
