Easy 10 Minutes Wonton Sup

Last week, I shared my recipe for how-to my favorite types of wontons = chicken wontons and cilantro. Remember the little people, and how funny they are when they are wrapped up. Which same few people take almost an hour to wrap up? Well, that went a long way because I currently have an endless supply in my freezer.



After all the hard work, the 10 minute soup is music to my ears. This is the easiest workday meal. Fill and fulfill. Seriously, put the phone down and put the menu home. With this recipe fast and easy, why bother with taking it home?

INGREDIENTS

  • 8-12 wontons, fresh or frozen (I use chicken wontons and cilantro)
  • 3 cups of chicken broth
  • 2 cups of water, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of black soy sauce (or regular soy sauce)
  • 1/2 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh, chopped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon of green onion, sliced

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a small saucepan, bring chicken stock and 1 cup boiling water for high heat.
  2. Add wontons and salt.
  3. When the wontons float up, add a cup of cold water.
  4. After the wontons float up again, add sesame oil and soy sauce.
  5. Wontons come out into a bowl and top with a soup base. Decorate with cilantro and green. Enjoy!
