Have you ever just picked up a magazine from a shelf in a grocery store because the photos are so beautiful you can't refuse?

I was waiting in line at the grocery store with Cason the other day, getting ready to check out. I have all my groceries separated and everything is set to go. My eyes began to go to the magazine and because I worked my way to the bottom standing in the magazine I saw beautiful pictures of holiday food. I took the magazine and started flipping through the pages, one beautiful picture after another! I know I have to have it. So of course I threw it on top of me a pile of food.

  • 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1/3 cup of milk 2%
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh orange juice
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of fine salt
  • 2 tablespoons without Salt butter
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries

  1. Preheat the 425 degree F oven. Place 9 or 10 wok cast iron in the oven while pre-heating.
  2. For blenders add flour, milk, orange juice, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla, orange peel and salt. Mix for 10 seconds, scrape down the sides, and then mix for 10 seconds. Until the mixture is smooth and liquidity.
  3. Allow the dough to rest for 5 minutes, or until the oven is pre-heated. This gives the flour time to absorb liquid.
  4. After the oven is brought to the temperature. Remove the pan from the oven and place it on the stove. Add the butter to the pan and stir it around the bottom of the coat and the side of the pan. Then add cranberry. (some of them will appear, which is fine)
  5. Next pour the mixture over butter and cranberry. Tilting the pan if needed so that the dough runs evenly to all parties. Place the pan in the oven.
  6. Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes. Until the Dutch baby was arrogant, browned above, and dark brown on the sides and edges.
  7. Remove it from the oven.
