Every time I bring a dish that I haven't made before, I have to experiment first and I love when it's a dish I can share here with you.

I have so much fun making Calzones this Christmas tree and even more fun, eat them. They are so kind. You have enough to believe!


  • 1/2 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 1/3 cup of grated mozzarella cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 egg beaten and divided
  • 2 rounds of pizza dough
  • 1/2 teaspoon of flour to sprinkle a cutting board
  • 1/2 cup MorningStar Farms® Grillers® Crumbles ™
  • 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce added to serve
  • 2 tablespoons of finely chopped red peppers
  • 2 tablespoons of finely chopped marinated artichokes
  • finely chopped tomatoes 2 tablespoons
  • Italian Seasoning


  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese ricotta and mozzarella, along with a little salt and 1 tablespoon of eggs.
  3. Spoon into a disposable bag or zip top bag.
  4. Unpacking the dough into a flour cutting board.
  5. Cut each round of dough into pieces 8.
  6. Cut 1 inch of stem from the curved edge of each slice of dough, remove excess.
  7. Set one tree on the egg surface and brush your work up.
  8. Pipe or spread a thin layer of cheese mixture into the tree, leaving about 3/8 inches of dough found around the border.
  9. Top with 1 / 8th of MorningStar Farms® Grillers® Crumbles ™, pizza sauces, red peppers, marinated artichokes, and tomatoes.
  10. Top with another tree.
  11. Seal the edges then use a fork to crimp the edges together.
  12. Repeat making a total of 8 tree calzone.
  13. Trees set on a baking sheet.
  14. Brush the eggs over then sprinkle on the Italian seasoning.
  15. Bake for 10-14 minutes until golden brown.
  16. Serve hot with more pizza sauce.
