Bacon Asparagus Recipes Were Written In The Oven #christmas #asparagus

This easy bacon asparagus recipe is wrapped in an oven, with a few tricks for extra crispy meat. Everyone likes this easy asparagus and meat appetizers. They're natural paleo and low carbohydrates, too. Ready in just 30 minutes!

With asparagus bacon recipes, I have noticed that often the soft asparagus before the meat has the chance to crunch. Yuck, who wants wet meat? I am on a mission to avoid this.
I'm happy to report that I found a way! And since then, this has become one of my favorite asparagus and bacon recipes.

  • 24 Asparagus stems (cut)
  • 12 Bacon slices (Center cut selection)
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • Salt Garlic
  • Black pepper

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (204 degrees C). Place oven-safe (oily or non-stick) wire shelves onto the baking sheet. (This shelf works great!)
  2. Trim the ends of the wood of asparagus. Drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with garlic salt and black pepper to taste. (You don't need a lot of oil, just enough for salt and pepper to stay.)
  3. Cut the slices of bacon in elongated making a narrow strip. Wrap each bacon strip tightly around the asparagus stem, only slightly overlapping the meat in each ear (it will shrink during cooking, creating a "striped" pattern). Place the bottom side seam onto the wire rack.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes. Use tongs to hand over. Bake for another 10-15 minutes, until the meat is almost crispy. Set the oven to roast, then place it under the grill for 1-2 minutes crisp more.
